Along with map terminology and geographical terms, this fun course introduces third grade students to the land, resources, and people in different areas across the United States of America. Lessons motivate learning with colorful maps and engaging illustrations and conveniently coordinate instruction with subject text, exercises, and hands-on projects.
Topics include key events in each U.S. region’s history, influential individuals, natural and human resources, weather patterns and climate, lifestyles and culture, major businesses and industries, along with places of interest that people enjoy visiting. Course units contain quizzes and tests to evaluate progress and student mastery.
