Students enrolled in this course explore the structure of life, covering everything from atoms and cells to the human body. The course also explores how humans have affected our atmosphere and marine ecosystems.
Throughout this two-semester course, students also examine the relationship between observations, hypotheses, theories, and laws. In addition to distinguishing between current scientific consensus and emerging scientific questions and investigations, students learn to connect and organize data. The courses also explores how science influences political, economic, and social aspects of society.
