AP® World History: Modern is a yearlong, college-level course designed to prepare students for the Advanced Placement (AP) World History: Modern exam. The goal of this course is to explore historical themes common to societies around the world and across time periods, from 1200 to the present day.
Emphasis is placed on document analysis, historical thinking skills, reasoning processes, and essay writing. Students demonstrate their understanding and acquisition of skills through written work, document-based questions, project-based activities, and practice exams.
