The first semester of civics and world geography discusses the history and workings of national, state, and local governments, and the privileges and responsibilities of the individual citizen living within this political environment. Showing students how to be citizens of the world, this course from our online academy gives a broader perspective into individual roles and responsibilities in maintaining a peaceful and just environment for mankind.
The second semester covers world geography in both physical and human geography. Lesson topics in this course from our online academy for 9th grade include earth and human interactions, geographical and political regions of the world, human affects on the environment, the tools of the geographer, and man’s interaction in a changing world. Each unit of the course contains quizzes and a test to evaluate progress and student mastery. Projects and reports are included.
