The first semester closes with units on data distributions and data analysis, including how to summarize data sets with a variety of statistics. In the second half of the course, students create and analyze scatterplots and begin a basic study of regression. Then they study two-way tables and normal distributions, learning about powerful applications such as hypothesis testing. Finally, students return to probability at a more advanced level, focusing on topics such as conditional probability, combinations and permutations, and sets.
Geometry Fundamentals
In addition, students gain solid experience with geometric calculations and coordinate plane graphing, methods of formal proof, and techniques of construction.
Coordinate Algebra
This course focuses on complex operations of integers and variables while incorporating algebraic techniques and methods to develop student understanding of mathematical expressions, as well as concepts involving linear, quadratic, exponential and polynomial functions.
Analytic Geometry
This course is designed to prepare students for college-level and real-world mathematical reasoning.
Concepts covered in this course integrate the topics of advanced algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and statistics.
Algebra II Fundamentals
This course focuses on algebraic techniques and methods to develop student understanding of
advanced number theory, concepts involving linear, quadratic and polynomial functions, and pre‐ calculus theories. This course also integrates geometric concepts and skills throughout the units and introduces students to basic trigonometric identities and problem solving.
Algebra I Fundamentals
Within the Algebra I course, students explore basic algebraic fundamentals such as evaluating, creating, solving and graphing linear, quadratic, and polynomial functions.
Advanced Algebra
This online course prepares students for college-level and real-world mathematical reasoning. Concepts covered in this course integrate the topics of statistics, Algebra II, and trigonometry
8th Grade Math Fundamentals
This course focuses on strengthening skills in problem solving, integers, equations, and graphing. Students also begin to see the “big picture” of mathematics and learn how numeric, algebraic, and geometric concepts are woven together to build a foundation for higher mathematical thinking.
7th Grade Math Fundamentals
The course also introduces students to integers, equations, and geometric concepts. Throughout the course students begin to see the “big picture” of mathematics and learn how numeric, algebraic, and
geometric concepts are woven together to build a foundation for higher mathematical thinking.
6th Grade Spelling
Course units also include significant incorporation of word parts such as prefixes and suffixes. Units include review of Greek and Latin roots, compound words, and homophones.
