Over the course of a three-decade career in education, Janie (Michelle) McInnis has taught every science course available, including Physics, Chemistry, AP Biology, PreAP Biology, Anatomy, Physical Science, Earth Science, Environmental Science, and many others. At Calvert Academy, she serves as the assistant principal and an instructional supervisor.
“I enjoy making a positive lasting impact on students, sharing with students how to achieve academic excellence, and seeing student improvement and understanding,” she said.
With her father serving in the military, she moved all over the country and overseas throughout her childhood. She is grateful that her parents instilled in her with an immense desire to cultivate learning through curiosity. She is an avid reader of diverse genres, and she enjoys gardening and visiting the beach with her family.
